Ash Thursday (Four in One)

Ash Thursday is a 3 Photograph Composite.  One shot fired upwards at red barely penetrating through thick, high altitude cloud cover, and one downwards from same spot looking at the sidewalk beginning to speckle with ash. 

Inspired by the blood orange skies at noon over San Francisco during the fires of September 2020

It is four different art works in one actually. As I completed the piece, I realized that each orientation has a different emotional and contextual feel to the viewer. So I have strung it so it can be hung in every orientation. You are of course welcome to buy it as a diptych, triptych or quadriptych (and hang one orientation on each wall or down a hallway).
