"The Piano" is an examinations of “guided mindfulness” and the result of a blending of a variety of philosophical and religious approaches to explain our purpose as a presence on earth, the Blue Marble. By focusing in on the piece, I can separate myself temporarily from the world to "gather my thoughts and quiet them." It is an expansion of my “Kasinas” series designed to provide the space and calm for directed meditation and the three Rs - Recognize, Release, Return. They are adapted from the meditative disks to facilitate my immersion into reconnection with nature and energy to work for sustainable communities.
