In 2013, serendipity landed me on a trip to Cuba with twenty professional photographers. The people, the land and the urbanscape bowled me over! So I flipped my life and my environmental law work became by volunteer work and I began the process of convincing people I was a full time artist. It is now ten years since my first public show, and so I return to the RAW source and, with a much deeper skill set and informed artistic eye for this "Resilience" series from that trip. And with #47's get tough on travel to Cuba announcement this week (7/4/25), what could be more timely.
"A la Luz" is natures tribute to resilience as shown buy the plant in a dark entryway bringing some greenery to the bleaching cityscape.
