For the show Going Places, my inspiration is drawn from local getaways along the Monterey coast. With camera in hand, I often crouch down to capture the wondrous details and strong forms of my subject, intrigued by the juxtaposition of man-made objects one might find discarded in a natural environment. I focus on the organic shapes and graceful movement of seaweed that has washed up on the beach and some of those objects entwined and hidden within.
This work has a modern white frame and measures 16" x 20". Glass glazing.
