Portland Head Lighthouse, Maine

An original watercolor with colored pencil, matted and framed in one-inch maple wood.  One of the few places in Maine along the seashore that is open to the public.  We drove up the coast from Boston, thinking we would paint the scenery along the way.  But nearly everything is private property and not visible from the road—very unlike California with our coastal access.
