"I like to author paintings as one might write a book. Sometimes my visual books are autobiographical, other times they are strictly fictional.  My paintings are often created in a series with color, composition and execution serving as the characters and settings. The times, places and events that I encounter serve as stepping stones for leaps forward in my imagination, using today to contemplate the future.  I confess to a love of science fiction and the hope it can inspire.  

Currently, my experiences are driving an exploration of theoretical artistic concepts in color or composition – a deep dive into abstraction where meaning is found in color, compositional relationships, and gestural marks.
